 We set our alarms for 2:15am to start our journey from Albania to Meriden, NH. While our trip to Albania was a great adventure, we were excited to be heading back home. We talked about what we were most excited to do when we got back home. For me, I could not wait to play with my pups and check out how the garden was doing. Dan was most excited about sleeping in our bed and to hear how it went with James and Maron taking care of Ernie and Luca. Dan's top experiences in Albania were: 1) Holtes Canyon 2) Benjes Canyon 3) Xhiro in Berat 4) Affogado in Shkoder Kara's top experiences in Albania were: 1) Holtes Canyon 2) Hiking Maja Rosi 3) Dipping & jumping in Lumi Valbones without anyone else around 4) Xhiro in Berat Taking off before sunrise from Tirane Airport Sunrise from Air Italia Layover in Rome I bought a massive sandwich that fed both Dan and me for 2 meals. Bunk'Art, Ottoman Bridge, Next Level Affogado

 We've been punting the last two days as to what to do so today was just checking out different things in the area because we're on deck for our flight early in the morning tomorrow. Dan had trouble sleeping, so he spent some time doing a little research about what we could do: Shkoder Castle, Ottoman Mesi Bridge, Bunk'Art and maybe a cable car up a mountain. We wanted to do a hike that looked fun, but our rental wasn't allowed to drive on the road (and we were told that there was a GPS tracker on our car so they would know). But that first order of business was getting Dan an affogado which he was very excited about. Mother Teresa was Albanian and lived in Shkoder for a while. Dan was very excited to get an affogado in the morning. The place opened at 7:30 and we were there at 7:29. According to Dan, next level affogado That is one very happy man.
